  • Koehler Group traditional retiree party takes place for the 20th time
  • Focus on former employees – reuniting, chatting, and looking back
  • Entertaining program with Baden humor delivered by Helmut Dold, alias “DE HÄMME”

For the 20th time in the company’s history, this year saw the Koehler Group celebrate its traditional retiree party at the Oberkirch Erwin-Braun-Halle venue. The event, intended for all former employees from the Oberkirch and Kehl sites, has been a mainstay of Koehler’s annual calendar for many years now. Every two years, the family business offers its former employees the chance to get back together, reminisce about past experiences, and maintain their connection to the company.

The guests, numbering around 250, were welcomed with a warm speech by Elke Renz (Corporate Director HR & Legal Department), Simon Ketterer (head of HR Recruitment, Development, and Support), and Sabine Seebacher (chairwoman of the Oberkirch and Kehl Works Council). Among other things, the speech provided a comprehensive overview of recent developments in the business group, with the focus being on the latest trends and changes and ongoing and finished projects and investments that have taken place since the last retiree party in 2023.

The celebration for all former members of the Koehler Group family is much more than a mere tradition: “This retiree party is our way of saying thanks and showing that our responsibility and appreciation don’t end on the last day that someone works at the company. And that’s crucial, since our former employees are the ones who laid the foundation on which we’re building our future today. I think that explains why keeping that connection alive is so important to us,” Elke Renz says.

And one of the best ways to keep it alive is with a festive mood: The Koehler company band provided music while conducted by Alois Sauer, after which Helmut Dold, “De Hämme,” regaled the audience with his Baden humor and had the venue erupting with laughter. A quiz afterwards gave attendants an opportunity to test their knowledge of the Koehler Group and come away with great prizes. Finally, dinner gave everyone the chance to chat about things and enjoy each other’s company for a good while.
