Helmut Krasnik appointed Head of Corporate IT of Ringier Axel Springer Media AG

As of April 1, 2014, Helmut Krasnik (47) will be joining Ringier Axel Springer Media AG as Head of Corporate IT, where he will be responsible for the IT landscape across the Group. He follows Marcus Dauck (41), who joins Ringier AG as CIO.
Helmut Krasnik joins Ringier Axel Springer Media from Mediaprint GmbH in Vienna, where he served since 2011 as Chief Information Officer and transformed the IT organization into a modern and service-oriented entity. Before joining Mediaprint, Helmut worked as Head of Group IT Operation and Infrastructure for Erste Group IT Holding in Vienna focusing on the development and roll-out of the IT strategy for the companies activities in Central- and Eastern Europe. In 2002 he was in charge of change management as General Manager for Sony Europe before becoming COO and member of the executive board for Sony Austria, where he worked from 2005 to 2007.
