The Company Barclays Global Investors UK Holdings Limited, London, Großbritannien, informed us by written note on 18th of April 2008 as follows:
"Notification of voting rights
1. Notification of voting rights in the name and on behalf of Barclays Global Investors UK Holdings Limited:
Barclays Global Investors UK Holdings Limited fell below the 5% threshold of § 21 para. 1 WpHG on 28. Februar 2008 and at that date held 4.97% of the voting rights (i.e. 3,140,000 shares with voting rights) in Salzgitter AG, Eisenhüttenstraße 99, 38239 Salzgitter.
Barclays Global Investors UK Holdings Limited was attributed these 4.97% of the voting rights (i.e. 3,140,000 shares with voting rights) in Salzgitter AG pursuant to § 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG in connection with § 22 para. 1 sent. 2 WpHG.
2. Notification of voting rights in the name and on behalf of Barclays Global Investors UK Holdings Limited:
Barclays Global Investors UK Holdings Limited fell below 3% threshold of § 21 para. 1 WpHG on 15 April 2008 and at that date held 2.97% of the voting rights (i.e. 1,876,135 shares with voting rights) in Salzgitter AG, Eisenhüttenstraße 99, 38239 Salzgitter.
Barclays Global Investors UK Holdings Limited was attributed these 2.97% of the voting rights (i.e. 1,876,135 shares with voting rights) in Salzgitter AG pursuant to § 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG in connection with § 22 para. 1 sent. 2 WpHG."
