APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
-Experienced financial specialist appointed following extensive search-
Jersey, 07 January 2008. Atrium European Real Estate (ATX: ATR), one of the leading real estate companies focused on owning, operating and developing shopping centres in Central and Eastern Europe, announces the appointment of Robert Bolier as Chief Financial Officer.
Robert has over 20 years experience in financial management and strategy at a number of leading global corporations. He joins Atrium from Meretec Ltd, where, since 2007, he was Chief Financial Officer, with overall responsibility for all aspects of financial management and strategy implementation.
Between 2000 and 2006 he held a number of senior management positions at Assa Abloy, the world's leading lock manufacturer with a turnover in excess of EUR3bn, which is listed on the Swedish Stock Exchange. As divisional CFO for the EMEA region from 2003, he was responsible for all areas of financial management, budgeting, treasury, legal, shareholder relations and corporate governance affairs. He spent the previous three years as the Director of Corporate Finance.
Prior to this, Robert spent two years as EMEA Finance Director at Williams PLC, a FTSE 100 company, and four years at Blue Circle Industries PLC in various senior finance functions. Before working in industry, he spent four years as an Associate Director in corporate finance for Chase Manhattan Bank.
Robert is a Chartered Accountant, member of the ICAEW and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, London.
