Subtitle: 10 firm contracts for over 80 MW received

Company Information

Hamburg (euro adhoc) - Hamburg, 14 March 2013. The Nordex Group's German
business is continuing to grow - especially in the light wind sector. In the
first few weeks of the year, it gained new orders comprising in total 84 MW for
its N117/2400 wind turbine. Most of these projects had previously been
conditional order backlog, which entailed around 300 MW at the end of 2012 in
Germany alone and are now firm as funding commitments have been received. This
involves a total of 35 turbines for ten wind farms in the German states of
Hesse, Bavaria, Thuringia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Baden-Württemberg. The
customers include Abowind AG, WSB, Planet Energy GmbH (Greenpeace), Green City
Energy and other citizen wind farms.

To make optimum use of low-wind locations, Nordex is mostly installing the
N117/2400, which has been specially developed for such wind sites, on top of
hybrid towers with a height of 141 metres. All the projects will be executed
from summer 2013 onwards for completion in the course of the year.

"With the N117/2400 in particular, we are making an important contribution to
keeping the costs of the renewable energy policy - the 'energiewende' - in
Germany in check. Turbines with a high capacity factor of almost 40 percent mean
that non-coastal locations are economically viable, obviating the need for
costly and time-consuming grid extensions as they can be installed close to
where the electricity which they produce will be consumed. Accordingly, I am
pleased that we have received these contracts so early in the year as discussion
of possible changes to the tariffs has caused unnecessary uncertainty in the
German market. This is despite the fact that it is common knowledge that
politicians tend to say more in election campaigns than they ultimately end up
doing," says Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, Chief Customer Officer at Nordex SE.

Since the launch of series production in summer 2012, Nordex has installed
approximately 60 turbines.

About Nordex
As one of the technological leaders in multi-megawatt wind power systems, Nordex
is benefiting from the trend in favour of large-scale turbines. The Generation
Gamma range comprises the N90/2500, N100/2500 and the N117/2400, which is one of
the most efficient onshore turbines. To date, over 2,100 of these turbines have
been produced. This experience with multi-megawatt turbines gives Nordex a
decisive lead over most of its competitors. With Generation Delta, Nordex is now
offering the fourth generation of its proven multi-megawatt platform (N100/3300,
N117/30). Nordex has installed a total of around 5,100 turbines with an
aggregate capacity of more than 8,100 MW all around the world. With exports
accounting for more than 85 percent of its business, Nordex SE plays a key role
in international high-growth regions. The Company has offices and subsidiaries
in 22 countries around the world with a total global headcount of over 2,500
employees.
