Hamburg (euro adhoc) - Hamburg, 4 February 2011. Nordex order receipts increased in the fourth quarter of 2010. This means that new business in 2010 exceeded that of the previous year by a double-digit margin. The biggest orders Nordex took in at year's end involve deliveries for three wind farms in Poland and Turkey, where customers ordered a total of 44 N100/2500 turbines. In addition, Premium Service Agreements were signed.

The first project in Turkey is called "Metristepe" and belongs to the project developer CAN Enerji. Nordex will be building this wind farm with 16 turbines on a turnkey basis. The annual yield is expected to come to around 140 gigawatt hours, equivalent to a capacity factor of approximately 40 percent.

A further 16 machines have been ordered by Iltek Iletisim, a subsidiary of the Eksim Group and an investor in projects in the field of renewable energies. Nordex will be installing the turbines in the "Tokat" wind farm, which will produce some 125 gigawatt hours of clean energy a year. At the moment Nordex is completing the "Susurluk" project with 18 N100/2500 turbines for Illtek.

The order for a further 12 N100/2500 machines for Poland comes from the German project developer Renerco Renewable Energy Concepts AG. Nordex has already put S77/1500 wind farms on grid in Germany and Italy for this company. Now Renerco has placed an order for the Polish project "Kamionka", which will boast an annual energy yield of more than 67 gigawatt hours.

"The orders from Turkey underscore the fact that Nordex has secured a leading position in the market there. Over and above this, we are pleased that Renerco is impressed by the N100/2500 technology and has now also chosen us to supply the turbines for a wind farm in Poland", says Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, CSO Nordex SE.
