Accordingly, the revenues in the fiscal year ended rose to 33.4 mill. Euro (2004: 32.5 mill. Euro), this predominantly being due to large-scale projects in Houston, Oslo and Stockholm and the recovery of the domestic market. At 2.6 mill. Euro (2004: -0.7 mill. Euro), the Karlsruhe-based specialist in telematics and electronic fare collection systems for buses and trains at the same time realized the highest annual net profit and at 4.2 mill. Due to numerous successful tenders in 2005, init reported the highest intake of new orders since its founding, totaling 64.3 mill. Euro. This corresponds to an increase of just under 40 mill. Euro, or 159 per cent, as compared to the previous year (24.8 mill. Euro). Based on the increase in the level of orders by 140 per cent to 54.4 mill. Euro (2004: 22.7 mill. Euro) and further contracts expected to materialize over the next few months, the Managing Board anticipates a continuation of its current positive business trend. Further potential orders are said to arise on account of business initiations in the Middle East and the equipment of vehicles with telematics equipment, neither of which have yet been included in the projections. Irrespective of this, init is set to strive for a further improvement in both sales and earnings.
