The Managing Boards of PC-Ware Information Technologies AG, Leipzig and PSB AG, Ober-Moerlen, have agreed to pool their "virtual municipality" development activities. Both companies are engaged in the development of innovative software solutions, have focused on selling to contractual customers from the public sector in the last ten years and have a very broad joint customer base in public administration.
The strategic cooperation aims at a speedy development and joint marketing of a system based completely on Internet technology. The system will provide a standardized and modular platform for today's information and communication processes within public administrations as well as between citizens, companies and the administrations. This solution is to enable handling a large number of errands at home using the Internet. The system design allows for the integration of future developments.
The "eCRM" product (Electronic Citizen Relationship Management) will be provided by PC-Ware to the municipalities on an ASP basis (Application Service Providing). The whole process will be managed by the e-Licensing technology developed by the Leipzig- based software-specialists. The innovative "eCRM"-solution takes a lot of pressure off tight investment budgets in the public sector . All necessary elements (software development, project consulting, implementation, ASP/ISP services and local technical service) of the eCRM solution are fully covered by the combined resources of PC-Ware AG and PSB AG. Both companies see a considerable sales and profit potential in their new "virtual municipality" product.
