Deutsche Post DHL Group beschleunigt Aktienrückkäufe
Bonn, 28. Juni 2022: Der weltweit führende Logistikkonzern Deutsche Post DHL Group hat heute bekannt gegeben seine Aktienrückkäufe zu beschleunigen. Angesichts des derzeitigen opportunistischen Marktumfelds beschloss der Konzern seine Finanzkraft für eine schnellere Durchführung von Aktienrückkäufen zu nutzen. Der Konzern beabsichtigt nun, bis zum 7. November 2022 Aktienrückkäufe in Höhe von bis zu 800 Millionen Euro durchzuführen, indem eine Aufstockung der laufenden 500 Millionen Euro Tranche um bis zu 300 Millionen Euro erfolgt. Diese Pläne sind Bestandteil des im März 2022 angekündigten Aktienrückkaufprogramms 2022-24 mit einem Gesamtvolumen von bis zu 2 Milliarden Euro, das spätestens bis Dezember 2024 durchgeführt wird.
„Das Vorziehen unseres Aktienrückkaufprogramms ermöglicht es uns, einen günstigen Zeitpunkt für Aktienrückkäufe sofort zu nutzen und unsere finanzielle Stärke gezielt einzusetzen“, sagte Melanie Kreis, Finanzvorstand Deutsche Post DHL Group. „Auf Basis des erwirtschafteten Free Cashflow sind wir in der Lage, unsere Aktionäre zusätzlich zu den Dividendenzahlungen durch Aktienrückkäufe an der starken Geschäftsentwicklung partizipieren zu lassen. Ich bin davon überzeugt, dass unser Unternehmen in einem volatilen Umfeld weiterhin einen erheblichen Wert für alle Beteiligten schaffen wird.“

Deutsche Post DHL Group accelerates share buybacks
Bonn, June 28, 2022: Deutsche Post DHL Group, the world’s leading logistics company, today announced that it will accelerate the execution of its running share buyback program. Given the current opportunistic market environment, the Group decided to further front-load the execution of its share buybacks, making use of its financial strength. The Group now intends to carry out share repurchases in the amount of up to EUR 800 million until November 7, 2022, initiating an additional amount of up to EUR 300 million on top of the currently running EUR 500 million tranche. These plans are part of the share repurchase program 2022-24 announced in March 2022 with a total volume of up to EUR 2 billion, which will be carried out latest until December 2024.
“Front-loading our share buyback program will allow us to immediately take advantage of an opportunistic time for share repurchases by leveraging our financial strength”, said Melanie Kreis, CFO Deutsche Post DHL Group. “Thanks to our strong free cash flow generation, we are in a position to ensure that our shareholders are able to benefit from the strong business development through share buybacks in addition to the dividend payments. I am convinced that the Group will continue to deliver substantial value to all stakeholders navigating through a volatile environment.”
