EUconomy closing event: dpa invites to follow livestream on EU cohesion policy in border regions
Berlin (ots)
How does Europe improve everyday life - and how can journalism tell that story better? This question is at the centre of the closing press event of EUconomy - Partnerships4Prosperity, a 12-month media initiative by dpa-Custom Content, co-funded by the European Union.
The event will take place on 15 September 2026 at the Berlin newsroom of dpa - Deutsche Presse-Agentur, the German Press Agency, and will be streamed live via LinkedIn.
Livestream, Tuesday 15th of September, 6:30 pm (CEST): https://www.linkedin.com/events/euconomy-presseventoneucohesion7503457697674076160/theater/
EUconomy documents EU-funded cross-border initiatives in Germany's border regions with Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, France and Denmark. Through multilingual, multiformat journalistic content packages, the project shows how EU cohesion policy and Interreg funding support regional development, cooperation, sustainability, innovation, jobs and training on a practical level.
The closing event brings together policy, academic, Interreg and project perspectives to discuss how the local impact of EU cohesion policy can be explained clearly and made more visible to regional audiences.

The event will feature:
- Claudius Schmidt-Faber, Senior Economic Expert at the European Commission
