BWT - Continuation of the global growth strategy
Preliminary results of Business Year 2000: Increase in sales: + 43 % Increase in profit: + 36 %
In business year 2000 the preliminary consolidated group turnover of BWT Group - Best Water Technology Group - amounted to 380 Mio EUR, which represents an increase of 43 % compared to last year. The strong growth rate can be essentially attributed to acquisitions.
On the basis of this preliminary consolidated group turnover BWT expects a net profit of 15 mio EUR, increased by 36 %, and a net profit calculated according to the OVFA method in the amount of 17 mio EUR, which corresponds with the budgeted number for business year 2000.
For the running business year 2001 BWT Group plans to achieve a consolidated group turnover in the amount of 445 mio EUR (+ 17 %) and a net profit of 21 mio EUR (+ 40 %). The profit calculated according to the OVFA method shall be increased by 47 % to 25 mio EUR.
This rate of growth in 2001 will be achieved according to BWT's growth strategy by innovations in product- and process-innovations, by a continued internationalisation as well as by a better penetration of existing markets with existing technologies. The foundation for the future growth has been installed by establishing the business segments AQUA ECOLIFE Technologies, AQUA SYSTEMS Technologies and FUEL CELL MEMBRANE Technologies within the BWT Group. With this new organisation the existing strengths in the group are more focused and existing synergies can be exploited much better.
