The fiscal year 1999/2000 (30th of June) was the best in history of Fortec AG. Sales increased by 39% to 45 (1998/1999: 32,5) mio. DM. The forecast was reached completely.
In the first full year at the Neuer Markt the bookings increased by 39% to 48,2 (34,6) mio. DM and clearly exceeded the forecast. Backlog increased by 38% to 11,4 (8,2) mio. DM and also exceeded the forecast.
The reasons for this positive business in 1999/2000 are the continuously increasing interest of industrial customers in powersupplies, displays and embedded computers, which made up 85% of total sales, and the booming business with semicoductors, where sales increased by more than 60%.
Profit clearly increased again compared with the already very good result of last year (EBIT 1.9 mio. DM). Especially the boom in the semiconductor business created a remarkable profit.
Also in 2000/2001 Fortec AG expects unchanged high increasing rates. In view of market and order situation the high-tech company is very confident to reach sales of 60 mio. DM in 2000/2001.
Final results of the fiscal year 1999/2000 will be published on 4th of September 2000.
