Enel X has launched its new JuiceBox charging solutions - JuiceBox Plus and Pro - in Germany. The private charging station for electric vehicles (EV) is designed to be installed at home or at the office, in parking garages and spaces. The new JuiceBoxes, 100% designed and developed in Europe with the principles of circular economy, are made from recycled plastic and are managed remotely using the Enel X's JuicePass app.

The JuiceBox comes in two models: JuiceBox Plus and JuiceBox Pro. Both are available with a cable or socket and power up to 22kW, and the 11kW configuration is KfW 440 eligible. Wi-Fi connectivity enables intelligence with the option to include "Cellular" LTE network connectivity to ensure coverage. Notably, the JuiceBox Pro can adapt its power level according to the meter's available supply to best meet the owners' needs.

Drivers can choose between two different charging experiences: with Connect&Charge just insert the cable in the vehicle connector to start charging, or users can request authentication using the app or RFID card. The dynamic LED crown provides instant visibility into a car's charging status.

Charging EVs is easy with the JuicePass app, which allows users to manage settings and control the power of the JuiceBox, monitor the charging sessions and energy consumption, plan and start charging remotely, receive live notifications and access other smart charging functions. With JuicePass, it is also possible to access over 90,000 public charging points in Europe - one single app for a world of public and private charging services.

"We're excited to launch our Juicebox Plus and Pro here in Germany, as we feel it's important to offer well designed private infrastructure solutions to support the rollout of EVs in the country," stated Rolf Nikolaidis, head of e-mobility, Enel X Germany. "These new devices come with a number of advanced features that allow drivers to charge their vehicles with ease, whether it be at home or elsewhere. The seamless connection to the JuicePass app ensures a smart and secure charging experience throughout Europe and beyond."

The JuiceBoxes utilize recycled plastic and sustainable manufacturing practices, representing a perfect example of salvaging and recycling used materials according to the circular model, which aims at creating new production cycles by regenerating waste. Thanks to this distinctive design, the Enel X JuiceBox has recently won the "Compasso d'Oro 2020" award for industrial design.
