STADA Sponsors PingPongParkinson World Championship in Italy

Bad Vilbel, Germany – 24 October 2025 – STADA, a leading healthcare and pharmaceuticals company specializing in Specialty pharmaceuticals, Generics and Consumer Healthcare, is further strengthening its support for the global Parkinson’s community by acting as financial sponsor of the 6th PingPongParkinson World Championship (PPPWC), taking place in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy, from 20 to 26 October 2025.
Following on from a similar sponsorship deal for the 5th PingPongParkinson World Championship held in Laško, Slovenia, last year, STADA is reinforcing its commitment to the Parkinson’s community in 2025.
The average player in Lignano will be 63 years old and has had Parkinson’s for eight years. Ages range from 35 to 80 years. More than 325 people will participate, drawn from 26 different countries, exceeding the previous record of 23 countries from 2023. Across singles, doubles and mixed pairs, almost 1,700 matches are scheduled during the week-long tournament, which follows previous events in Austria, Croatia, Germany, Slovenia and the USA.
