TTL Information Technology AG, Munich, a vendor of integrated IT services, continued its healthy growth during the first half of 2000.
Sales revenues in the group rose by 59.5 % to reach 45.3 million DM. The background to this is firstly an increase in sales at the core operation, Project Business, of 17 % to 28.3 million DM, thanks to the vigorous level of investment over the last year. Secondly, sales revenues quadrupled in the Trading Division, to reach 17 million DM, a figure which for the first time includes the results of 1st Data Solution Vertriebs GmbH. Acquired at the beginning of this year. Adjusted for this effect, sales revenues rose by around 8 %.
During the first half the year, 1st Data Solution Vertriebs GmbH fulfilled the expectations placed in it, and is now trading in the black. Consolidated earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) reached 638,000 DM (preceding year: 3.124.000 DM). The result figure reflects firstly the high level of capital investment in infrastructure at all the company's divisions, particularly in procuring and skilling new staff, and secondly the substantial investments made in project business over the past twelve months, with concomitantly significant increases in depreciation levels. In the group as a whole, finally, the goodwill of 1st Data has been written down by 1.5 million DM. The profit aftertax comes to 281,000 DM (preceding year. 1,511,000 DM).
The main focus of activity in the upcoming weeks and months will be to strengthen service and consulting capabilities in the TTL Group, so as to create additional corporate synergies.
