First-quarter EBIT up 75% to DM 2.0 million - Excellent start of e-commerce shop
Mensch und Maschine Software AG (M+M), one of Europe's leading suppliers of CAD solutions, boosted its earnings significantly in the first quarter of 2000. This performance was primarily attributable to the strong growth of vertical solutions and services as well as to the excellent start of the new e-commerce shop (after only four months, 50% of all orders were placed online).
First-quarter revenues climbed 17% from DM 48.3 million to DM 56.4 million, with the share of foreign sales in total revenues rising to 54% (1999: 52%). At the same time, earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) surged by 75% from DM 1.1 million to DM 2.0 million.
