With the visionary sentence "There´s a lot to do - let´s plant it" Dr. Franz Alt pointed out during his laudation of the award ceremony regarding the Diesel medal 2011 for the two TECNARO founders for their contribution regarding sustainability with renewable resources. This appeal could have been also symbolic already at the early beginning of the 15 years of TECNARO´s history.
Very few people believed in the success at the beginning: Quotes like "with lignin you can do anything but earning money". In the meantime everybody talks about this topic, in many laboratories all over the world intensive research is on-going and even specific funding programs regarding the utilization of lignin as a material resource are in place.
"In 15 years from dusty and smelling lignin waste to the fashionable Eco-Pumps from Gucci Group and even the European Inventor Award?, the company history of TECNARO can be summarized.
Basis was the creativity with the almost stubborn persistency of the - in the meantime a little matured - "young" entrepreneurs. This led to more than 2,000 bioplastics formulations and hundreds of serial products made from TECNARO compounds with renewable resources ARBOFORM®, ARBOFILL® and ARBOBLEND®.
