Hellmann Austria celebrates 25 years of excellence in logistics

Osnabrueck/ Vienna, October 21, 2025. Hellmann Austria celebrates 25 years of excellence in logistics, marking two and a half decades of delivering innovative, reliable, and customer-focused supply chain solutions across Austria and beyond. Since August 1, 2025, Rainer Mittl has been serving as Country Managing Director of Hellmann Austria. Under his leadership, the company will build on the success of the past 25 years and continue to drive growth - supported by Austria’s strategically advantageous location in the heart of Europe, serving as a link between Northern and Southern Europe as well as a gateway to Eastern European markets. Together with his team and the regional management, Rainer Mittl is focused on expanding the service portfolio, strengthening existing customer relationships, and entering new markets.

Since 2000, Hellmann Austria has offered a full range of Air-, Sea-, and Roadfreight services, including GDP-compliant pharma solutions via Austria’s key cargo airports, automotive control tower management across Central and Eastern Europe, and dedicated FTL/LTL options for high-tech and industrial customers. In Seafreight, the company operates its own import consolidations from Asia, manages LCL exports, and leverages its cross-dock in Vienna to serve markets such as Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.

“The Austrian market plays a crucial role in achieving the global growth targets we have set for Hellmann Worldwide Logistics,” says Piotr Zaleski, Regional CEO, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. “Its central location, combined with its dynamic business environment, ensures that Austria will continue to be a key contributor to our international success.”

“Celebrating 25 years in Austria is not just a milestone, it’s a testament to the trust our customers place in us and the dedication of our team,” said Rainer Mittl, Managing Director, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Austria.
