CompuGroup Medical appoints Stefano Santinelli to drive digital transformation in key European markets
Koblenz, September 14, 2026 – CompuGroup Medical (CGM) has appointed technology executive Stefano Santinelli to lead its business area Europe Atlantic. In this role, he oversees core CGM markets like France and Italy, while reporting directly to CEO Prof. Dr. med. Daniel Gotthardt. As one of the world's leading e-health companies, CGM is focusing on growth-driven and technology-driven areas to further sharpen its unwavering customer orientation and bring innovative products to the customer as fast as possible. New technologies and the use of AI will increase the benefit for customers and will further fuel the growth of the company, leading to lasting benefits for patients, customers, and the healthcare system as a whole.
The 56-year-old Stefano Santinelli is an experienced Swiss-Italian technology executive who most recently served as CEO of localsearch, a Swisscom subsidiary, where he transformed the business from a traditional directory platform into a leading online marketing partner for small and medium-sized enterprises in Switzerland. He also played a key role in building up Swisscom Health and has held various international leadership positions in the technology sector at global players such as Microsoft, SAP, and ABB. In addition, Santinelli brings extensive experience in founding and scaling companies, as well as serving on various boards and advisory boards in the technology and services sector. The computer science graduate of ETH Zurich speaks Italian, German, English, French and Russian, and holds an MBA from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester (USA).

In addition to France and Italy, Santinelli also takes on responsibility for CGM's markets in Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and South Africa.
