A cuckoo?s egg welcome to stay for Easter?and for a long time thereafter: Tangente 33. The smaller version of the renowned classic from NOMOS Glashütte is a timepiece designed to be worn all day, every day. And like all NOMOS watches, it comes with an in-house built caliber, constructed on-site. Also available in a larger size and with automatic winding.
Image of the month: A watch in an Easter basket, and there’s not a rabbit in sight. The European hare (Lepus europaeus) is on the IUCN list of “threatened” species in Germany, which is bad news for the Easter Bunny. You’re most likely to see the European hare in a city park, an environment where the chances meeting a predator—such as a fox or a hunter—are low. Yet the biggest threat to the European hare is the decrease in grasses and herbs that are a staple of its diet.
There’s not much watchmakers can do to help here. But they can try, can’t they? Take the employees of NOMOS Glashütte, who have gone down a completely different rabbit hole altogether this spring: They have been filling up baskets—because what everyone needs, even more than chocolate, is better times to come. And in this case they come in the form of a mechanical watch, bringing great joy during a time that is otherwise proving very challenging for humans and hares alike.
