The two biggest German cinema companies CinemaxX AG (Hamburg) and UFA Theater GmbH & Co. KG (Düsseldorf) are contemplating a strategic alliance. The management of the two Companys agreed to review the project in depth.
This will consider all theatre locations and all perspectives of a future cooperation. The focus of the review will be the analysis and quantification of positive effects resulting from a cooperation of the two companies.
The company chiefs Hans-Joachim Flebbe (CinemaxX AG) and Volker Riech (UFA) agreed on a speedy analysis. This will allow a better valuation of the results in the short term and what further steps for a merger should be taken.
