Henkel Joins Danone, Nestle and SAP AG in CPGmarket.com
Duesseldorf, Germany (ots-PRNewswire) - CPGmarket.com launched last week is Europe's first electronic marketplace for consumer goods companies.
Henkel has joined the electronic marketplace oriented towards the consumer packaged goods industry. The founding members of the consumer packaged goods (CPG) marketplace also includes the Danone Group, Nestle SA and SAP AG.
The four partners will create a new company which will implement a B2B marketplace open to everyone. Other companies will be invited to join at a later date.
This unique initiative in Europe will cut supply costs through automated processing of orders and sales amongst other benefits.
"This marketplace will let us exploit significant opportunities for optimizing procurement in the consumer goods sector, which is of great importance to us. Along with its strong partners, Henkel will thus be able to further increase the profitability of consumer goods," states Dr. Hans-Dietrich Winkhaus, President and CEO of the Henkel Group. During this and next year, Henkel will be investing double digit million amounts annually in the development of e-business activities, as well as the permanent updating of its Internet site.
