Issuer's information/explanation remarks concerning this ad hoc announcement:
The quarterly results as of February 28, 2001 were published as preliminary figures and with the appropriated explanations in the ad hoc of April 2, 2001. At the same time, the forecasts were revaluated.
The net sales increase in the first 9 months is borne by the positive developments of the Group companies in the USA, Spain, Switzerland and France.
The achievement of almost 10 Mio. Euro net sales within the first 9 months shows the high international acceptance and the market leadership, which CeoTronics has enlarged in the market segment communication under difficult circumstances in the current business year.
The net income (DVFA) of the first 9 months (June 2000 till February 2001) of the current business year does not come up to the expectations. Besides building up production capacities under difficult circumstances, higher prices for electronic components and expenses for not invoiced orders, especially a margin loss by bulk orders are responsible for the losses across the Group in the first 9 months.
As already announced on April 2, 2001, the Board of Management decided on a strategy change, on which the realization of profits takes precedence over growth. This means that the plans for the external growth are stretched and the plans regarding investments will be consolidated.
CeoTronics will still grow two digits in the future. The Group has the goal to find back to its old profit strength so that the distribution of dividends will be possible.
