Visteon Voice Technology to appear on the 2002 Infiniti Q45
Dearborn, Michigan (ots-PRNewswire) - Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC) today announced that it has secured a contract to supply its leading-edge Visteon Voice Technology(TM) for the 2002 Infiniti Q45 Sedan. Visteon Voice Technology (TM) understands continuous and natural patterns of speech without the need to be trained to one voice and confirms the driver's commands. Drivers activate the system by pressing the voice button, conveniently located on the steering wheel, to obtain voice control of several functions within the vehicle interior. Visteon Voice Technology(TM), in the Infiniti Q45 enables drivers to control audio, climate control, cellular phone (available in the fall) and navigation systems with simple voice commands. The 2002 Infiniti Q45 was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show, on Jan. 9, 2001. The vehicle is scheduled to hit showrooms in April.
