Visteon Introduces MACH(R) Line of Multimedia Products at Convergence 2000
Detroit (ots-PRNewswire) - Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC) takes MACH(R) to the max with the launch of a new family of multimedia products. MACH is no longer just audio -- it is a complete in-vehicle entertainment experience that includes movies, music and interactive theater seats. Visteon will debut the MACH multimedia collection at Convergence 2000, which runs from October 16 to 18 at Cobo Center in Detroit.
"The MACH family of products provides consumers with an integrated, high- quality, in-vehicle entertainment experience," said Jim Wynalek, vice president and general manager of Visteon's Telematics/Multimedia business system. "MACH is the in-vehicle entertainment brand of the future -- designed, developed, and manufactured to meet the needs of both drivers and passengers alike."
Through market research, Visteon learned that consumers want high-quality entertainment systems integrated into their vehicle, rather than sold separately. With the MACH portfolio of products, consumers have the benefit of Visteon's advanced multimedia products and technologies, as well as nearly 100 years of system integration and engineering expertise.
The MACH(R) family of products includes:
MACH 1000 Audio System is a high performance, high SPL (sound pressure level) audio system that provides maximum dB value. Its loud, clean sound with minimal distortion levels is available at a lower cost than comparable systems.
MACH MP3 can recognize compressed audio and traditional CD formats, giving drivers the ability to store and enjoy 10 hours of music on one CD. The combination of compressed file playback and efficient memory storage creates truly flexible audio, capable of downloading data and integrating all sources of audio for use at home and in the car.
MACH Rear Seat Entertainment is the most advanced rear seat entertainment system in the industry. The system brings the convenience and entertainment of home electronics to the vehicle, allowing passengers in the back seat to enjoy DVD movies and video games just like they do at home.
MACH Rumble Seats merge Visteon's superior quality theater seat production with advanced electronics. The result is seats that react to events taking place on the screen, creating a three-dimensional experience that can be seen, heard and felt.
