    Revenues more than tripled to 82.9 million DM

    Result increased more than ten times to 8.6 million DM

    GFT Technologies AG, one of Europe's leading Interactive Integration Architects, reports sustainable growth and profitability for the first six months of this financial year. The companyachieved revenues of 82.9 million DM, an increase of more than 218 per cent compared to the first six months of 1999. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) increased to 8.6 million DM by 946 per cent leading to an EBIT margin of more than ten per cent for the first six months of this year. Earnings per share according to DVFA/SG tripled to 0.12 Euro.

    The company's strong growth is also reflected in the number of employees. At the end of June 2000 the GFT Group had 628 permanent employees, two and a half times as many as at the same point in the previous year. In the first quarter of this year the number of employees grew by 52, in the second quarter by 70 new employees. As of 1 July, a further 84 specialists had signed contracts to join the GFT Group before the end of this year.

    Since the growth in the first half of the year exceeded the target figures, the Executive Board slightly increases its revenue expectations for the current financial year to more than 170 million DM.
