    Metzingen (ots Ad hoc-Service) -

    During the balance sheet press conference being held in Stuttgart
today, the HUGO BOSS Management Board will be announcing an upward
correction of its sales forecast for the current business year. For
the year 2000, the fashion group is now anticipating growth of 12%;
this corresponds to consolidated group sales of 1.65 billion DEM
(1999: 1.47 billion DEM). The gain is attributable to the strong 16%
plus in incoming orders for the second half of the year.

    The higher sales will also produce a further boost in net earnings at HUGO BOSS. The Management Board is expecting to see net income for the year rise to 124 million DEM (1999: 110.5 million DEM), an increase of 12%.

    Along with the revised sales forecast for 2000, the launch of the BOSS Woman collection will form another focus of the balance sheet press conference. A BOSS Woman event scheduled at the CPD in Duesseldorf will kick off the new sales season. The collection itself will be presented to the international press in September, premiering at the Milano Collezioni Donna in Italy.

    Paving the way for the fashion line, the fragrance "BOSS Woman" will launch internationally in September. The women's collection will be available in stores from December onwards.
