Tenovis at the CeBIT 2003: Mobile voice communication over IP networks

      Frankfurt / Main (ots)

At the CeBIT 2003 in Hanover, Tenovis,
the provider of business communications, is presenting leading-edge
developments and projects focusing on Voice over IP. Enhanced by
ISDN, DECT or Bluetooth technologies, and combined with Unified
Messaging (UMS) or Contact Center applications it can offer companies
a whole new range of communication opportunities.

Using DECT to make phone calls in the IP network Tenovis can now
offer mobility and flexibility in IP networks through the unique
amalgamation of DECT and Wireless LAN (WLAN). Tenovis offers a
special solution for companies who already have an existing DECT
infrastructure or who want to extend their communication systems to
include mobile components. The new IP-enabled base stations from
the CORS (Combined Of-fice Radio System) range of products developed
by Tenovis ensure that the tried and trusted D3 handsets can be used
in VoIP systems to make mobile phone calls offering excellent voice
quality. Whilst at the same time a WLAN extension also enables mobile
data communications. As such, one network access can be used for the
excellent quality and high-speed mobile transfer of both voice and
data.

Depending on the needs and size of the company, the Voice over IP
solutions developed by Tenovis are based on the Integral range of
communication systems. The Communication Server Integral 55 is ideal
for larger companies, whilst the Integral 5 IP was developed
specially for small and medium-sized companies. Both solutions offer
the usual range of features supplied by conventional TC systems
together with the well-known functions supported by ISDN systems.

    Tenovis

Tenovis offers modular communication solutions focusing on the
convergence of telecommunications and the internet. At Tenovis,
200,000 clients throughout Europe are serviced by some 6,000
employees. In 2002, Tenovis generated revenue of about 950 million
euros.
