Waterloo, Ontario (ots/PRNewswire) - Allianz selects IMS' Mobile UBI technology, powered by DriveSync 5
Intelligent Mechatronic Systems (IMS), a leading connected car and usage based insurance (UBI) (http://www.intellimec.com/drivesync5/) solution provider, is pleased to announce that Allianz Deutschland, one of Germany's leading auto insurers, has deployed DriveSync 5 for their mobile UBI offering, BonusDrive. Allianz BonusDrive is powered by IMS' award-winning DriveSync connected car platform to enable fast speed to market while delivering on the needs of a leading top tier global insurer, including program customization and an engaging, gamified experience for policyholders.
Allianz BonusDrive includes enhanced mobile UBI technology, provided by IMS (http://www.intellimec.com/), connected to a 12 volt Bluetooth car adapter for precise vehicle identification, real-time driver behavior and accurate driver coaching and feedback. The information collected is used to reward drivers up to a maximum 30% discount on premiums at year-end.
"We are pleased to be working together with Allianz Deutschland to promote safer driving behavior", said Dr. Otman Basir, President and CEO of IMS. "Allianz's BonusDrive demonstrates our new innovations in mobile UBI technology made possible with the upgraded DriveSync 5.0 platform. With DriveSync 5.0, insurers such as Allianz, are introducing differentiated and cost effective programs that are more engaging for policyholders."
"IMS and Allianz share a common vision to make our roads safer," said Frank Sommerfeld, Board member of Allianz Versicherungs-AG. "IMS' mobile UBI technology provides exceptional performance, data collection and analysis, along with a compelling end-user experience; but it's IMS' expertise, responsiveness and speed to market leveraging DriveSync 5 that has made for a rewarding partnership".
New mobile UBI enhancements are one of the many new innovations introduced with the recently announced DriveSync 5 connected car platform.
