Dear journalists,

Businesses depend on the rule of law and a functioning democracy: We at NOMOS Glashütte, a leading manufacturer of mechanical wristwatches in Germany, have known this since the fall of the Iron Curtain made it possible for our company to exist in its current form. That's why we're committed to these principles—currently, for example, in a broad-based project against hate speech on the Internet that threatens private individuals, companies, and entire states.

The Business Council for Democracy, BC4D, is the largest project of its kind. After a successful pilot phase with six well-known companies—including Volkswagen, Evonik and NOMOS Glashütte—it is now being expanded to 100 companies and thousands of employees.

You can find out more about this in the attached press release from the initiative, which we would like to share with you.

If you would like to talk with us about this, other issues we are involved with, or, of course, Glashütte's 175-year-old watchmaking heritage—just get in touch. We are always ready to assist you: By phone, by mail, in person.

With best regards,

Katrin Bosse-Foy
