On 4 June 2007, Mr. Adolf Merckle, Blaubeuren, notified us the 
following:

"Herewith I inform you, that on 1 June 2007 my proportion of voting 
rights in HeidelbergCement AG, Berliner Str. 6, 69120 Heidelberg, 
Germany*, went over the threshold of 15% and that I now hold 17.98% 
of the voting rights (21,574,885 votes).

Out of these 17.98% (21,574,885 Stimmen) are assigned from 
subsidiaries pursuant to § 22 I S. 1 No. 1 German Securities Trading 
Act. The subsidiary VEM Vermögensverwaltung GmbH, 
Wilhelm-Liebknecht-Str. 6, 01257 Dresden, Germany*, is the only 
subsidiary, whose proportion of voting rights in HeidelbergCement AG 
amounts to more than 3%."
