Hotel group presents standard guest room for a Hyperion and a H2 Hotel, scheduled to open at Leipzig central station in early December 2019.

At a construction site preview in june, the H-Hotels Group offered insights into its current dual-brand building project at Leipzig central station. Alexander Fitz, CEO of H-Hotels.com, and Andreas von Reitzenstein, COO of the owner-run hotel group, gave a tour through the building, which is currently under construction, for the new Hyperion hotel and the H2 Hotel, which will be opening their doors here in early December 2019. They are part of the redesign of the east side of Leipzig central station.

The buildings, planned by the architectural firm Gerber Architekten, will have a total of 530 rooms. Together with the existing H+ Hotel and the H4 Hotel in Leipzig, with a total of 943 rooms, H-Hotels.com will then offer the highest number of guest rooms in the city centre. With its explansion in Leipzig, H-Hotels AG is continuing its growth strategy in attractive locations in German-speaking countries. Leipzig itself is booming as a location with steadily increasing numbers of tourists and inhabitants.

Hyperion: timeless elegance and first-class service

As a premium brand, the Hyperion occupies the top end of the brand portfolio in the premium segment. The Hyperion Leipzig will have 193 rooms, including two suites of around 35 m2, and six junior suites. As a tribute to Leipzig, city of literature, the walls in the rooms will be decorated with references to famous authors. The bar and lounge are on the ground floor, as well as the "Gaumenfreund" restaurant with its front cooking area. On the 6th floor, offering an impressive view over the city, there will be an executive lounge plus a spacious fitness and spa area covering 250 m2. The 1st floor will accommodate the conference rooms with a conference hall, plus eight meeting and conference rooms.

The Hyperion brand stands for first-class comfort at the best locations in European metropoles. Contemporary and elegant design is combined with exquisite gourmet menus and outstanding service, such as a concierge that is expertly trained to deal with any questions and wishes the guests may have.

H2 Hotels: Inspiration in keeping with the times

The H2 Hotels combine innovative design and functional space concepts plus a 24-hour service to provide an inspiring universe for globetrotters, cityhoppers, families and business travellers alike. The new H2 Hotel in Leipzig will have a total of 337 rooms (double rooms and four-bed rooms). In the "Hub", which is located in the lobby and open around the clock, there will also a shop with a fresh food counter and front cooking. There will also be two conference rooms on the ground floor.

"The special thing about both hotels is the dual-brand concept, and consequently the interconnected construction style", as the CEO of H-Hotels.com, Alexander Fitz, explains. "This means it is necessary to have just one back-of-the-house area, which will include the offices and kitchen". The synergies go even further, however: conference participants, for example, can book rooms in different price categories and personnel can be deployed flexibly. This concept allows us to work more efficiently and offer our guests the amenities of two different products."
