Avaya sells its EuroGeneris business to e-generis S.A.
Waterloo, Belgium (ots-PRNewswire) - Avaya Inc. (NYSE: AV), a global leader in business communications systems, including converged voice and data networks, today announced that it has sold its EuroGeneris business, offering small enterprise communications systems, to e-generis S.A., a newly formed affiliate of the French holding company Barladie S.A., which is made up of private investors. This decision reflects Avaya's strategy to target enterprise market segments requiring voice and data convergence solutions and was based on Avaya's objective to continue to offer customers the choice to buy and use EuroGeneris, as well as to preserve jobs.
