Carcoustics product innovation "Alu Fibre Compact" will be launched at the 2014 Hanover Fair

Leverkusen (ots)

   * Manufacturers enthusiastic about acoustic-thermal insulation and
damping product with unique aluminium stamping

  * The specification of "Alu Fibre Compact" conforms to flammability
class A2

  * CEO Dr Peter Schwibinger: "This is an intelligent solution for
all industrial products, which is a clear step forward in terms of
safety, environmental compatibility and practicality!"

Carcoustics, a company that develops and manufactures acoustic and thermal insulating components for the automotive and other sectors, will be introducing an innovative development to provide insulation and damping for industrial products at the 2014 Hanover Fair: "Alu Fibre Compact?. This product combines high-quality mineral wool with perforated aluminium, thereby overcoming some weak points of conventional insulating materials. "Alu Fibre Compact? is designed to conform to flammability class A2 and is therefore not flammable and thus safer. It excels through lower emissions, is easy to clean, and provides both insulation and damping in one. It will be easy for the manufacturers of household appliances, plant and machines, agricultural machinery as well as heating and air-conditioning equipment to incorporate the material into their product housings in a compact and space-saving manner.

"We are continuously developing new solutions for various industry sectors in our laboratories with the aim of enabling our customers to build even more efficient devices or better vehicles. With the "Alu Fibre Compact", we are offering an intelligent solution for all types of industrial products, which represents a clear step forward in terms of safety, environmental compatibility and practicality," says Dr Peter Schwibinger, Carcoustics? CEO. Marcus Cleff, Industrial Solutions Sales Director, adds: "In this product, we bond mineral wool and perforated aluminium using a thermoforming process. That is a material combination that manufacturers will be enthusiastic about. It will also allow us for the first time to tailor our solution to any specific requirement."

The benefits of "Alu Fibre Compact? at a glance: The material offers sound insulation and absorption in one. Thanks to the stamping process, there is no risk of mineral fibres becoming detached, which protects both people and the environment from the irritants they contain; at the same time, the insulation can be cleaned easily thanks to the aluminium layer. The firmly stamped edges make for simple and fast installation.

You will find the product innovation "Alu Fibre Compact" and Carcoustics at the Hanover Fair from 7 to 11 April on the Joint NRW companies stand. Hall 16, Stand A10.
