Company Information Munich (euro adhoc) - March 7, 2013 - Today, Wacker Chemie AG's Supervisory Board re-appointed Dr. Rudolf Staudigl, CEO, and Auguste Willems to the Executive Board for another five years. The current contract of Rudolf Staudigl, who has headed the Munich-based chemical company since 2008, runs until September 30, 2013. Auguste Willems' current contract expires on December 31, 2013. Willems joined the Executive Board in early 2006. Dr. Peter-Alexander Wacker, WACKER's Supervisory Board chairman, thanked Staudigl and Willems for their commitment to the company. Dr. Rudolf Staudigl Dr. Rudolf Staudigl (58) studied chemistry at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich and obtained a Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat.) in chemistry in 1981. After research posts at Harvard University in Cambridge (Massachusetts, USA) and then Ludwig-Maximilians University, he joined Wacker Siltronic AG in 1983. He became vice president of Operations at Wacker Siltronic Corporation in Portland (Oregon, USA) in 1989, and president a year later. Dr. Staudigl joined Wacker Siltronic AG's Executive Board in 1993. In 1995, he was appointed to Wacker-Chemie GmbH's Executive Board. Since 2005, he has been an Executive Board member of Wacker Chemie AG and, in May 2008, he became president and CEO. Auguste Willems Auguste Willems (54) studied bioscience at the University of Leuven (Belgium). After graduating, he joined Henkel, holding various sales and marketing positions. He then spent several years in Indonesia and the USA, with overall operational responsibility. In 2002, after Henkel split off its specialty-chemicals business, he became group vice president of Functional Products at Cognis and a member of Cognis' Corporate Executive Committee. In January 2006, Willems was appointed to the Executive Board of Wacker Chemie AG.
