Schneider Electric showcases photovoltaic solutions at Intersolar 2010
Ratingen (ots) - Schneider Electric announced today its participation at the 2010 Intersolar tradeshow, the world´s largest international tradeshow for solar technology, in Munich, Germany, from June 9 - 11, 2010. This year's tradeshow represents a milestone for the company as it is the first time it has participated under the Schneider Electric brand since it acquired Xantrex Technology Inc. in October 2008 and created its Renewable Energies Business.
Schneider Electric will display its global solutions for a wide array of photovoltaic (PV) markets including solar farms, large commercial, residential, off-grid and backup power. These solutions range from inverters, switch gear, monitoring to security products from Schneider Electric's vast offering of electrical and energy management solutions.
Schneider Electric will have a number of solutions that address the solar farm market segment including solutions for the monitoring and the security of PV installations. One of the products that will be featured is the Schneider Electric Xantrex GT630 E Central Inverter which has a competitive price and performance ratio, and features the latest insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) switching technology to reach a high efficiency level of 98.6%. This inverter can handle the most demanding grid interactive features while continuing to deliver maximum active power to the grid. An interactive computer generated model of the Schneider Electric PV Box and complete solar farm solution package that is available to suit different customer applications, will be displayed. The PV Box is available in customized configurations from 250 kW to as large as 2 MW.
In addition to Schneider Electric's large three-phase products, the company will display a wide variety of single-phase products for the residential markets. These products include both the Xantrex transformer based and SunEzy transformerless grid-tied inverters that range in power levels from 2 kW to 6 kW. These grid-tied inverters are available to a large number of countries worldwide.
A third area of focus for Schneider Electric is the off-grid and backup power markets. Schneider Electric will exhibit its Schneider Electric Xantrex XW Hybrid Inverter/Charger family of products. The Schneider Electric Xantrex XW inverter/charger features sine-wave power and advanced battery charging technology. The product line offers inverter/chargers in power levels from 4 kW to 6 kW in an expandable configuration allowing for future system growth in either single or three-phase applications up to 36 kW. The products can be used in either a grid-tied with battery backup or off-grid application to suit a wide variety of installations.
"We are very excited to be able to showcase Schneider Electric solutions that are available to our customers and hope that we can attract new business as a result of displaying a good cross section of our company's capabilities," says Ted Campbell, Senior Vice President, Renewable Energies Business, Schneider Electric. "While Xantrex allowed us to address the inverter market, the global power of Schneider Electric allows us to deliver high value added solutions to our customers in the residential, buildings, utility and off grid markets."
Schneider Electric will exhibit its solutions in a 160 m2 space in booth 360 in Hall B4 of the new Munich Trade Fair Centre in Munich, Germany.
