Marseille-Kliniken AG (Prime Standard, ISIN DE 0007783003, MKA) is announcing: Axel Hölzer is stepping down from his post as the company´s Chairman of the Management Board with immediate effect. This is due to the fact that Mr. Hölzer is suffering from a serious illness, which will require longer treatment. Mr. Hölzer today asked the Supervisory Board to relieve him from his duties, which the Supervisory Board complied with. Mr. Hölzer also resigned from all other board roles connected to Marseille-Kliniken Group. As a consequence of this unexpected development, the Supervisory Board has appointed the company-founder and current Chairman of the Supervisory Board Ulrich Marseille to the Management Board for a period of six months in line with Section 105, Paragraph 2 of the German Stock Corporation Act. In 1999, he was appointed to the Management Board, initially responsible for associated companies, taking over as CFO in 2000. In 2002, he was appointed Chairman of the Management Board. His tenure was driven by expanding the Care business as well as restructuring and preparing the sale of the Rehabilitation facilities. The Supervisory Board appreciates Mr. Hölzer´s decision and would like to thank him for the successful cooperation in the past years and wishes him the best for his recovery and his personal future.
