Audi Internet presentation at the Geneva Motor Show

Ingolstadt (ots)

* Highlight: Audi allroad quattro
   * Service offers associated with Geneva and the Motor Show
   * Information on motor shows worldwide
On the occasion of the world premiere of the Audi allroad quattro
at the Geneva Motor Show from 2 to 12 March 2000, Audi is presenting
this latest model on the World Wide Web. The virtual presentation of
the Audi allroad quattro can be found at
http://www.audi-allroad-quattro.com
against a backdrop of Patagonian mountain scenery in South
America. A tour through the landscape of the Andes shows the visitor
the allroad quattro's versatility. Whether it is the 4-level air
suspension, design details or the driving pleasure it offers at
higher speeds - flash animations and videos make this website highly
dynamic. A panoramic view (IPIX) allows users to take a first digital
look into the interior.
The launch of the allroad quattro coincides with the twentieth
anniversary of the Audi quattro driveline. A "Heritage Special" for
the anniversary shows users the milestones of this technology: from
the original quattro to the allroad quattro.
During the Geneva Motor Show, Internet surfers can take part in
the "Mystery of Patagonia" game. The first prize is an air trip to
Patagonia.
Audi online service for the Geneva Motor Show
Audi has set up a service-oriented Internet site at
www.audi.com/genf: with information on the city, the Motor Show, a
route planner and online booking functions for flights, hotels and
car rental, visitors to the site can plan their journey to Lake
Geneva completely online. A city map, a restaurant guide, tips on
bars and clubs, information on cultural events and a list of
important addresses and telephone numbers enable motor show visitors
to make detailed preparations for their trip.
Two webcams will transmit pictures non-stop from Audi's stand
throughout the Geneva Motor Show.
Information on motor shows worldwide
From now on, the www.audi.com website will provide an extensive
new service. The visitor can obtain information on numerous worldwide
motor shows including dates and highlights of past events such as
Detroit, Frankfurt or Tokyo. There is a facility for downloading the
virtual overview of all exhibition dates. The user can even be
reminded of selected dates by a reminder mail.
The Hamburg-based agency USWeb/CKS has created these new Audi
website elements for the Geneva Motor Show.
Audi develops and builds high-quality cars on a worldwide scale.
