- New e-logistics solutions for transport logistics -
Neuer Markt-listed IVU Traffic Technologies AG (German Securities Code 744 850) and TRUCK24 AG, the e-logistics platform for trucks, have agreed a far-reaching strategic alliance for new Internet-based telematics services to control the flow of information between vehicles and control centers. This strategic alliance aims to offer and jointly market total e-business solutions for order processing, status monitoring for arrival schedules and GSM-based vehicle positioning. The two companies anticipate a joint order volume of more than DM 3m this fiscal year, with a total volume in excess of DM 10m forecast for 2002.
The goal of this long-term partnership is to combine the complementary market opportunities of e-logistics specialist IVU and TRUCK24, and thus bolster the two companies' market presence. Systems supplier IVU will provide the software modules and act as a systems integrator in major projects. TRUCK24 will be responsible for marketing and the operation of the Internet-based logistics services.
