Visteon Corporation Names Gary Mayo Director of Environmental Affairs
Dearborn, Mich. (ots-PRNewswire) - Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC) continues to build on its reputation as an environmental leader by naming Gary Mayo director of Environmental Affairs.

Mayo will be responsible for increasing Visteon's awareness of sustainability, as well as championing Visteon's leadership in this area. Additionally, he will identify opportunities for the development and delivery of new, environmentally friendly products.

Prior to his new role, Mayo served as director of the Distributed Power Generation Strategic Business Unit within the corporation's Energy Transformation Systems group. In that role, Mayo oversaw the only non- automotive business unit within Visteon. As its director, he led a global team that pursued new business opportunities within the more than $50 billion distributed power generation industry.
After joining Ford Motor Company's Marketing, Sales and Service Group in January 1977, Mayo went on to hold various marketing, operations, sales, planning & strategic business analysis positions. He joined Visteon in September 1997 as director, Global Customer Service for Visteon's Global Marketing Sales and Service organization.
Mayo holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Long Island University, C.W. Post Center, and a master's degree in business administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Additionally, his executive educational experiences include completion of professional programs at the University of Michigan, Aspen Institute, Duke University's Global Executive Program, as well as Ford's Capstone III and Strategic Marketing program.
