DCI AG today announced that it plans to get the new year off to a good start with a consistent growth-enabling organisation model. In the past, DCI's corporate structure has focused on its core business, the DCI "WebTradeCenter". This will be reorganised to create an umbrella structure, the DCI Group, which will accommodate four autonomous business units. The new model reflects DCI's commitment to sustaining its progressive growth path. The four cornerstones of DCI's new corporate structure are as follows: WebTradeCenter; TradeManager; DCI Media and the autonomous subsidiary bonitrus AG, the e-commerce insurance suite for secure b2b transactions. These restructuring measures give DCI the flexibility, speed and innovative capabilities it needs to continue to grow its business on a global basis. One-off investments to fuel growth during DCI's first fiscal year as a listed company will impact on this year's operating figures. DCI expects operating income to post at minus 22 million euros for 2000. Much of this expenditure was incurred in connection with the launch and the integration of DCI's foreign offices, technical enhancements to DCI's products, consulting services and establishment of DCI's subsidiary, bonitrus AG. The technical and human resources funded through these investments will enable DCI to further consolidate its dominating position on the international b2b e-commerce market and to capitalise fully on the growth opportunities offered by this dynamic segment. Sales for the fiscal year 2000 are on target at 11 million euros. Cash and cash equivalents amounted to 41.5 million euros as per 30.11.2000.
