The issuer/originator is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Company Information Leonding (euro adhoc) - Rosenbauer International AG today signed an agreement to acquire a 75% stake in the British partner firm North Fire plc, which is based in Holmfirth in West Yorkshire. The company has annual revenues of approx. EUR 3.5 million and around 10 staff, and has been the distribution and service partner for personal protective equipment, components, aerial appliances and municipal vehicles from Rosenbauer. Integrating the firm into Rosenbauer's worldwide distribution and service network will make it possible to look after customers directly, and to serve another major municipal vehicle market from an in-situ Rosenbauer branch. For Rosenbauer, this local presence will let it tap the potential of the British market even more effectively. "The expansion of our business in international municipal vehicle markets has prompted us to place our partnership with North Fire on a new footing, after many years of working together so well. By acquiring this majority stake, Rosenbauer is putting its future growth in the UK on a firm foundation", says Dieter Siegel, CEO Rosenbauer International AG. The new structure will continue to use and benefit from North Fire's knowledge of the local market, its strong sales focus and - even more importantly - its excellent client contacts. North Fire founder and Managing Director Oliver North will hold 25% of the company, which will operate under the name "Rosenbauer UK plc", and will continue as its Managing Director.
