The issuer/originator is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Company Information/Production enlargement Leonding (euro adhoc) - Rosenbauer, a leading manufacturer of fire engineering equipment, is expanding its production capacity in Austria. In May 2013, Rosenbauer will be taking over the plant site formerly occupied by the Wacker Neuson company, and turning it into an additional production facility. This is part of a wider program to expand production space at its Austrian facilities, with which the company is sending out a strong, upbeat signal to the whole region. Located only 3 km away from the main plant in Leonding, the new facility (Plant 2) has infrastructure that is ideal for Rosenbauer. Apart from its proximity to the main plant, another factor in favour of this site was its availability at such short notice. Plant 2 comprises 15,000 m² of industrial buildings and approx. 5,000 m² of office space, on a 52,000 m² plot. This represents an addition of around 60 percent to the existing production space at the Leonding main plant.As part of a production-space planning process being carried out across all facilities, the production areas are now also being restructured. In future, airport rescue fire fighting vehicles, prime among them the top-of-the-range model PANTHER, and the municipal vehicle AT will be made in Plant 2. This new production facility is planned to be gradually put into service from the 3rdquarter of 2013 onwards. Rosenbauer will be investing a total of 15.6 mEUR at its Austrian facilities (Leonding and Neidling) this year. This will also have the effect of assuring further employment in the region. Rosenbauer currently employs around 1100 people in Leonding. Rosenbauer has been manufacturing technologically sophisticated apparatus for fire services for more than 100 years. Fire fighting vehicles and their centrepieces - the fire fighting systems and components - are developed and manufactured for national and international markets at the main plant in Leonding. Despite the severe downturns in certain markets, Rosenbauer last year managed to maintain its growth trajectory, boosting its revenues by nearly 20% year-on-year. Record revenues are also expected for the ongoing financial year.
