EuroGeneris business, offering small enterprise communications
systems, to e-generis S.A., a newly formed affiliate of the French
holding company Barladie S.A., which is made up of private investors.
This decision reflects Avaya's strategy to target enterprise
market segments requiring voice and data convergence solutions and
was based on Avaya's objective to continue to offer customers the
choice to buy and use EuroGeneris, as well as to preserve jobs. The
EuroGeneris family, which is developed in Cesson-Sevigne and Saumur,
and manufactured in Saumur, France, is aimed at small to medium sized
businesses, primarily in Europe.
e-generis will continue to serve EuroGeneris reseller and end-user
markets as well as offer positions to Avaya employees supporting
EuroGeneris, previously dedicated to Research and Development,
Training, Sales and Marketing activities.
