FORIS AG is entering the business of advanced legal training. For this purpose, it has formed a fully-owned subsidiary, FORIS Akademie GmbH. This company will assume the business operations of Gesellschaft fuer Juristeninformation mbH (GJI) with registered office in Empfingen near Stuttgart. GJI has been successfully active for over 15 years in the business of advanced training.
By offering numerous training courses to achieve specialist certification in legal fields as well as daily and weekly seminars, the service range is primarily geared towards practicing attorneys and young legal experts. Through the takeover of an experienced seminar provider, FORIS AG expects to have an excellent basis to expand in the business of advanced training among a continuously growing target group. At the same time, an additional lucrative business line is to be occupied.
With the advanced training services now being offered, FORIS AG has taken one step further as a comprehensive service provider for the legal profession. The training will create intensive customer loyalty with reciprocal synergy effects. From the core business of litigation financing and the intensive cooperation with lawyers, FORIS will be able to recruit outstanding experts as speakers. In the seminar itself, participants will experience FORIS as a professional service provider. In the opinion of the Management Board, these customer ties should likewise not to be underestimated with regard to later litigation financing.
The new seminar program for the second half of 2000 will be presented at the general meeting of FORIS AG shareholders on 26 May and will be addressed to over 100.000 attorneys together with the FORIS AnwaltsZeitung Lawyers' Newsletter.
