Kotauczek, the operative subsidiary of the BEKO Holding AG, announces the introduction of its new business area BEKOs new business segment supplements the existing segments of information science and engineering with help desk, consulting and system management services. Based on a module structure, various services are offered in different price categories and on different scales, including the overall responsibility for the customers IT. Any service demanded will be provided, if required even 24 hours and 365 days of the year. By 2003, BEKO Ing. P. Kotauczek GmbH expects this business segment to have conquered a 20% share of the Austrian market. The BEKO help desk operates a call centre which provides 1st level and 2nd level support for all enquiries and problems regarding software and hardware, offering assistance with Microsoft Windows client operating systems, Microsoft Office, the whole network periphery (printers, scanners, modems), general networks (links to LAN/WAN) and, by arrangement, individual programmes if the scale of the order is appropriate. System maintenance services are performed by BEKO on the customers premises. This includes support of the customers help desk or complex installations and roll-outs. As an optional service supplementing the help desk, BEKO provides customers and users with assistance in the field of desktop operating systems (Win 9x, NT 4.0, Win 2000). Consulting services are offered for all technical issues related to the IT infrastructure: hardware and software, network planning and analysis, security and help desk. As part of a training and certification measure, BEKO intends to win the title "Windows 2000 Competence Centre". Its goal is to carry out Windows 2000 updating and installation projects at large enterprises (more than 500 client users) in close co-operation with Microsoft. System management services include participation in customer projects for a fixed period of time, focusing mainly on Windows 2000 projects.
