Aquion Energy Receives the ees AWARD at Intersolar Europe
Munich, Germany (ots) - Aquion Energy, Inc. (http://aquionenergy.com), developer and manufacturer of Aqueous Hybrid Ion (AHI(TM)) batteries and energy storage systems, today announced that it has received the prestigious ees AWARD, which honors innovative products and solutions for electrical energy storage. The award was presented by ees(TM) (electrical energy storage), an organization supporting the energy storage industry.
Aquion Energy is one of three winners for innovative energy storage at the Intersolar Europe and ees Europe conference taking place this week in Munich. Out of more than 100 energy storage companies and integrators to apply for the award, Aquion Energy is the only battery manufacturer to win.
Aquion Energy received the award for their AHI batteries, which have a unique, environmentally-friendly electrochemical design and are the first and only batteries to be Cradle to Cradle Certified(TM) (www.c2ccertified.org/products/registry). The batteries contain no heavy metals or toxic chemicals and are non-flammable and non-explosive, making them the safest and most sustainable batteries in the world.
"We are proud to receive this honor from ees Europe, in the company of many great finalists," said Scott Pearson, chief executive officer at Aquion Energy. "This is a recognition of our innovative technology and its increasingly important role in the burgeoning solar industry."
Aquion Energy is presently in the process of qualifying global channel partners, including dealers, distributors, and system integrators, as part of the effort to bring this breakthrough technology to market.
Aquion Energy is exhibiting at Intersolar Europe in booth B1.584.
